Hey there, it's Sam :)

I'm currently in my 3rd year studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waikato and loving it! When I started at Waikato University, I was stoked to find the Christian ministry group on campus, "Student Life", where I found so many Christ-minded young people that have a heart for sharing the Gospel and encouraging each other in community. It was pretty clear to me as I began my Uni experience that I wanted to be a part of this group, knowing how important it would be to spend time with people to support and encourage me in my faith at Uni.
This year I have had the opportunity to lead this group and I've been excited to see God working through our interactions.
After a difficult year that has also seen so much growth in the Waikato Student Life community, a group of 10 of us have the opportunity to travel down to Nelson, for the Student Life Beach Project! 
I am so excited as this presents an opportunity to spend time in one of New Zealand's busiest summer spots, being intentional to share Jesus! While the team will be there, we'll be running activities like sandcastle-building competitions, sausage sizzles, sports comps, all the while finding people out on holiday who are searching for the good news of Jesus.
While there, our small team from Waikato will also receive training on evangelism and running community outreach, that we know we'll be able to bring home to the Waikato Uni campus and to our home Churches :)
