People have not changed since Jesus' time. The city of Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and has hundreds of thousands of people who feel "harassed and helpless" - especially during the holiday season, a time of loneliness for many.
The Urban Summer project will be spending two weeks over New Year's to reach out into Auckland city and share with them the Good Shepherd, the one who can give them direction and hope for their lives. This will be through activities such as car washes, free barbeques and other community outreaches.
I will be part of this 2018-19 team and I look forward to how much God will be shaping my heart to care for the lost people around me the way that He does!
